WHAT WE DO
ITP is a hands-on finance club. Members research stocks, build models, compete in pitch competitions, and connect with professionals from across the industry.
Pitch Competitions
The core of what ITP does. Members research publicly traded companies, build full investment theses, and present buy or sell recommendations to the club. The best pitches advance to regional and national collegiate competitions.
- Internal pitch sessions: present your thesis and defend your model
- DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analysis
- Judged by e-board and guest evaluators from industry
- Top pitches compete at national collegiate investing competitions

Guest Speaker Series
ITP regularly brings in working professionals from across the finance industry. Sessions are Q&A-heavy by design, not just lectures. Past guests have covered careers in investment banking, asset management, hedge funds, private equity, and trading.
- Professionals from investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and PE firms
- Direct Q&A time — not just a slide deck
- Networking opportunity before and after each session
Workshops & Education
Weekly educational content for members at every experience level. Whether you've never built a model or you're prepping for superday, there's a workshop for you.
- Financial modeling and valuation fundamentals
- Technical analysis and charting fundamentals
- Interview prep: behavioral, technical, and case walkthroughs
- Options strategies and derivatives basics
Networking & Corporate Trips
Classroom knowledge only takes you so far. ITP connects members directly to industry through corporate visits, alumni dinners, and annual trips to major financial centers.
- Annual trip to Chicago and/or New York financial districts
- Company visits and office tours at major firms
- Alumni networking dinners connecting current members to ITP graduates
- On-campus recruiting access — ITP membership recognized by Purdue recruiters
